Broken pipe causes sewage flooding in Hospital de Magallanes

The Clinical Hospital of Magallanes experienced a particular situation, since the rupture of a pipe caused flooding of sewage in the corridors and rooms of the health facility, generating the relocation of patients.

Specifically, from the health facility they specified in a statement that the affected area was the hospitalization areas on the second and third floors in the south wing.

“The maintenance team detected the fault and is working to repair the damage, containing the emergency and initiating cleaning efforts in the affected sectors,” the text indicates.

For the tranquility of the relatives of the hospitalized people, from the Hospital they indicated that they were not affected. “The breakdown did not affect the care of users and this institution is operating normally in the outpatient area,” they assured.

Local workers recorded the moment in which the pipe overflowed and caused the transfer of the different patients due to the accumulation of sewage in the corridors and rooms of the hospital compound.
