From the Paraguayan Association of Travel Agencies and Tourism Companies (Asatur) they report very good sales of tourist packages to Paraguayans who will go on vacation to beaches in Brazil, Central America and the Caribbean.
The union’s vice president, Martha Chamorro, stated that It is the first summer that you can vacation without restrictions due to the covid-19 pandemic.
He explained that the tourist packages of the various tourism agencies that Asatur brings together register to date 80% of sales of their different proposals vacations abroad, the most popular being the Brazilian beaches or the Caribbean.
“The few places that remain are now at a higher cost. What the Paraguayan likes the most is the beach, be it the Brazilian northeast, southern Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, Paulista beaches and everything that is Colombian Caribbean, Cartagena de Indias, as well as Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Isla Mujeres, Punta Cana, Aruba, Jamaica. Everything that is Caribbean without a visa,” he explained this Monday in an interview with Radio Nacional del Paraguay, a statement broadcast through IP.
He added that the economic packages have already been taken in advance and that when making the purchase with time more accessible prices are achieved. «We are now selling vacation packages for Easter. We urge people to make their reservations early,” he added.

As for the destination packages to Europe, he said that they are already organizing for the period of 2023 and that they also have a “very high demand and everything is faster since there is not the same number of flights and interconnections as before of the pandemic,” he explained.
On the other hand, he indicated that the cost of vacations with respect to last year increased, since because of the war between Ukraine and Russia the price of oil increased. “That caused the air fares to increase tremendously and also the limitation of seats,” he said.
Register to avoid fraud
Chamorro also urged citizens to seek advice from tourism agencies that are registered and formalized in the National Registry of Tourist Service Providers of Paraguay (Registur) before making their purchases, to avoid possible scams or fraud.
