From this day until the end of April Bolivia will host the best of youth tennis with seven championships: the first of Grade 1 that is already being held in Santa Cruz and the other six of a lower level in the main axis of the country.
“The J300 is already being disputed in Santa Cruz, what is grade 1 and there are several tennis players under 18 years of age with a good international ranking, so we will have a good level in the championship,” said Edwin Flores, technical manager of the Bolivian Tennis Federation (FBT).
The courts of the Santa Cruz Tennis Club receive this contest with the presence of several athletes from South America.
Bolivia also has its representatives and in fact the first seed in the men’s branch is Juan Carlos Prado.
In the female category, Catalina Padilla stands out, who passed the first round after defeating the Argentine Julia Caffarena (6-3 and 6-2).
The tournament will be held until Saturday, April 1 with singles and doubles matches in both branches.
“Later there will be tournaments of a lower degree for those of 18 years and it will also be for the Cosat Tour for 14 and 16 year olds”, Flores pointed out.
From April 3 to 8, the J30 for Sub-18 and the G4 Cosat will be held for 14 and 16 years old at the La Paz Tennis Club.
