Bolivia reports 6,587 infections and 50 deaths from the virus

The Ministry of Health registered this Thursday 6,587 new infections of Covid-19 and 50 deaths due to the virus nationwide. With this figure, the country adds a cumulative of 841,757 positives, since the start of the pandemic.

The national report establishes that the department of La Paz registered the highest number of infections in the last 24 hours: 1,949.

For its part, Cochabamba has 1,309 infected; Holy Cross, 1,197; Tarija, 702; Chuquisaca, 570; Oruro, 291; Potosi, 258; Beni, 185; and Panda, 126.

The official report shows that this Thursday 4,842 people recovered, for a total of 670,031. While the active cases are estimated at 150,302.

With the 50 deaths recorded this Thursday, the total number of deaths amounts to 20,824. The fatality rate in this fourth wave is 0.6%.
