Bolivia has a positivity rate of 6%, ten days after Carnival

The Epidemiological Report 725 of this day on Thursday, March 10, shows that 429 new infections of covid-19 were detected, 1,181 patients recovered and two lost their lives. 7,221 tests were carried out, of which 429 were positive, therefore, there is a positivity rate of 6%.

It is already ten days after the carnival festivities and for the moment, the contagion rate has not skyrocketed.

The report issued by the National Directorate of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health and Sports, establishes that the national cumulative number of infected patients is 896,744804,502 recovered and 21,472 deceased.

The new infections this day are: Santa Cruz 242, Cochabamba 74, La Paz 55, Chuquisaca 15, Tarija 6, Potosí 25, Oruro 5, Beni 6 and Pando 1.

Vaccination

The vaccination report establishes that this Thursday 22,274 doses were applied. To date, 12,777,499 doses have been placed between the first, second, third, single dose, and booster doses to the different age groups with the Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen vaccines throughout the national territory.

5,991,409 received the first dose of the covid-19 vaccine, likewise, 4,687,339 of the second were applied; 994,961 for the single dose and 1,103,790 for the third dose.

The report establishes that 678,186 first doses and 409,784 second doses were applied to children between 5 and 11 years old, while 740,889 adolescents between 12 and 17 years old received the first dose and 539,170 the second.
