Bolivia confirms 1,270 new cases of Covid-19 and the death of 13 patients due to the virus

Bolivia reports 1,783 new positive cases and 20 deaths from Covid-19

Bolivia continues with more than a thousand daily cases of Covid-19, but with a sustained de-escalation of positivity, according to the authorities. This Monday at the beginning of the seventh epidemiological week of 2022, the Ministry of Health and Sports reported 1,270 new infections and 13 deaths.

According to the report, the new infections this day are in Santa Cruz with 780, followed by Cochabamba (211), La Paz (62), Potosí (69), Tarija (58), Chuquisaca (42), Beni 22, Pando 20, and Oruro with six cases.

At the beginning of the week, 2,717 patients recovered from the disease, according to the Ministry of the area, while 7,329 people underwent the tests, of which more than a thousand tested positive for Covid-19 (1,270).

The registry of recovered patients by department is as follows: 806 in Santa Cruz, 763 in Cochabamba, 306 in La Paz, 161 in Chuquisaca, 534 in Tarija, 108 in Potosí, 8 in Oruro, 0 in Beni and 31 in Pando. The fatality rate so far reaches 0.6%.

Regarding immunization, the report indicates that to date 909,919 first and second doses have been applied to children between the ages of 5 and 11, within the framework of the national vaccination plan carried out by the national government.

Meanwhile, at the Bolivian level, 12,278,634 doses have been applied so far between the first, second, third and single dose of Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen vaccines.
