This Wednesday, authorities of the Bolivarian Government commemorated April 13 as the day of courage of the Venezuelan people.
In this sense, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, stressed through her social networks that “the events of April 2002 remain in the collective memory of the Homeland. We remember that April 13 when our people came out to defend democracy and Comandante Chávez. In civic-military union, the historical and victorious future of Venezuela was marked. Every 11 has its 13».
The Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, pointed out that “20 years ago our people, leaders and soldiers demonstrated their courage and patriotic love by taking to the streets with the sole objective of defending democracy and rescuing the Bolivarian Revolution, a fact that was marked in the memory of the Venezuelan, serving as an example for the battles we are fighting today.
For his part, the Minister of Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, maintained that the civic-military union, the national union and the Bolivarian Revolution, is the only alternative to open the paths of this country towards the future.
In addition, he emphasized that they are “20 years for reflection and for opening the paths to the future, with new battles and new victories.”
The deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Marleny Contreras, recalled that moment on April 11, 12 and 13, 2002: «I still remember that April 11, 2002. Daniella was turning six years old and very early, Diosdado sent her a bouquet of flowers with a card, where he let her know how much he loved her, and him knowing the difficulties that loomed that day».
On April 13, the 20th anniversary of the rescue of the National Dignity is commemorated, when the people, in a civic-military union, returned Commander Hugo Chávez to power and restored democracy in the country.
