Uruguay: Long lines to enter the country over the Fray Bentos area

Uruguay is studying the tourism week, at its highest peak. As Diario La R learned from sources, close to entering Uruguay, in the Fray Bentos area, long crowds of vehicles have been generated, even a kilometer before the border post.

Notably migrations issued data on expenditures and income to the country. For this, the measure was taken from April 8 to 13. The “passengers entered” at the checkpoints were 80,849 people in total.

Leading that number is the department of Paysandú, bordering the Republic of Argentina through the Paysandú-Colón International Bridge with an income of 17,193 people. It is followed by the town of Fray Bentos with an accumulated number of passengers whose number corresponds to 16,168. Subsequently, the department of Colonia appears with 15,034 people.

Regarding the number of passengers “exited” by the checkpoints for the same period, a total of 114,517 tourists is reflected. Part of that figure is made up as follows. At the head is Colonia with 21,570. Paysandú follows in second place with 18,070 and in third place is the department of Salto.
