Santiago.-Authorities are investigating the deaths of a woman and her daughter, found in their residence in the urban area of the municipality of Santiago de los Caballeros.
The bodies of Luisa Trinidad, 50, and Darisa Trinidad, 19, were found by the lady’s husband and young woman’s father, identified only as Juan David.
The family lives on the third floor of the apartment building, on Pedro Francisco Bonó Street, close to the José María Cabral y Báez regional university hospital.
According to neighbors, Luisa Trinidad apparently died from diabetes problems that led her to cut off one of her legs. When her daughter, who also suffered from kidney problems, learned of her mother’s death, it is believed that she suffered a heart attack and also died.
Although the incident occurred at dawn on Friday, almost hours later the relatives were waiting for a team from the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) to be able to remove the bodies and determine the real cause of death.
