“As destabilizing dictatorships and the malign influence of foreign actors continue to present challenges to the United States and the hemisphere, this bill represents another important step forward to help restore the defense of democracy as a central pillar of foreign policy. of the United States,” said Menendez after the approval in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, an instance that he chairs.
