– Resurrection after the break –
At the start of the match, a jug of cold water fell on the illusion of Barça in the 4th minute, when the experienced English international Lucy Bronze, recently recovered after an arthroscopy in her right knee, lost a ball in the vicinity of her area against an attentive Ewa Pajor, who from the front of it sent a powerful shot that the goalkeeper Sandra Paños managed to touch but did not avoid the goal.

That early disadvantage put the terrain uphill for a Barça
that touched the tie in minute 12, in a corner kick that Irene Paredes finished off, with everything in favor.

Despite lowering the revolutions, Barça kept looking for the goal of the tie to recover the illusion, with dangerous approaches.

But then came the second blow from the Germans, in the form of a ball hung in the Pajor area so that Alexandra Popp (37) will score with a header against Paños.

It was the fourth Champions League final in which Popp had managed to score, after 2014, 2016 and 2020, cWith what equaled the record of the Norwegian Ada Hegerberg, who achieved it with Lyon.

In the discount of the first part, Salma Paralluelo He put his leg in to finish alone in front of the goalkeeper Merle Frohms, which blocked in time.

Everything changed at the start of the second half, with a brace from Patri Guijarro, who was later chosen by UEFA the best of the final.

First in minute 48, with a combination with Caroline Graham Hansen that Guijarro culminated with a shot in the area to shorten the deficit. In minute 50 he returned equality to the scoreboard by signing the 2-2 header, to the center of Aitana Bonmatí.

Sandra Paños stopped the Wolfsburg attempts to react, especially against the attempts of Popp (67) and Pajor (68).

Barcelona then finished their comeback with the third
from his private account, helped by an error by the rival defense. Mariona Caldentey failed to finish off a mess in the area, but the ball ended up short for the Swedish Fridolina Rolfö, who thus made it 3-2.

At the end of the game, Barcelona managed to control their advantage without major complications to close his fairy tale with a happy ending.
