Barbecue restriction: Motorcyclists protest today in Bogotá

the guild of motorcyclists in Bogota will carry out protests this Thursday, July 7 due to the disagreement on behalf of the new regulations that the mayor’s office has imposed in order to reduce the rate of robberies under the grill modality.

The extension of Decree 270 of 2022 until December 31with which the male companion is restricted between Thursday and Saturday from 7:00 pm to 4:00 am caused discontent, however the Bogota City Hall made the decision to lengthen the restriction because the results in security issue for the city improved.

For his part, one of the leaders of the motorcycle union assured that: “I do not believe in the tables that are in the District. I bought a motorcycle to ride with two people. Bogotá is having big insecurity problems and the hot water wipes are the motorcycles. They keep calling us criminals when we’re not.”
