Banreservas will promote Dominican investment and culture at Fitur 2022

The Reserve Bank will promote in Fitur 2022 the tourism investment in the country, together with the celebration of a series of cultural activities that will project Dominican artistic diversity, within the framework of this international fair to be held in Madrid, Spain, from 19 to 23 this month.

The general administrator of the financial institution, Samuel Pereyra, will preside over a business delegation that will develop an agenda in Madrid that includes meetings with tour operators, investors and hotel chain executives, as well as project developers linked to the value chain of the sightseeing.

Part of that agenda will take place both at the Ifema venue, where Fitur will be held, and at other venues in the Spanish capital. This year the Dominican Republic will participate as a Partner Country, a distinction that it also held in 2019.

Within the program to be deployed, Banreservas and the Dominican embassy in Spain will inaugurate a mural entitled “Dominican Republic, reserved for you” at the Santo Domingo station of the Madrid Metro.

The work will be designed by the artist Wanda Cortorreal, resident in Santo Domingo, who will be accompanied in its execution by the Dominican athlete based in Spain, Gerson Rodríguez.

In addition, on Thursday 20 and also in collaboration with the embassy, ​​the Plaza de Cibeles will be illuminated with the colors of the Dominican flag.

While the business cocktail, which traditionally celebrates Banreservas Within the framework of Fitur, it will be set with images of the works of the Petromacorisano artist Paul Guidicelli, to whom this activity will be dedicated to commemorate the centenary of his birth. This artistic selection will be made in collaboration with the Bellapart Museum.

In total, Fitur will bring together around 100 countries, with 70 official representations.
