Banco Pan confirmed the partial leak of its customers’ card data. According to a statement from the bank, released yesterday (15), there was an unauthorized copy of registration data, available limit and debt balance, without having exposed complete card data, passwords or any data that could mean direct financial risk to the customers.
According to the financial institution, there was no compromise of current account data or invasion of the bank’s infrastructure.
“We recently detected a weakness in the platform of a technology provider, used in the Customer Service Center in the card segment. We activate our security protocols, notify the company of software for immediate correction of the vulnerability and we hired independent specialized consulting for a complete analysis”, highlights the statement.
At the end of last year, the bank had more than 17.1 million customers. The institution had a net income of R$775 million in 2021.
