Banco de la República increases its balance in red

At the end of February the Bank of the Republic reported losses of $860,057 million, a figure that contrasts with a red balance of $57,097 million in the second month of 2021.

According to the figures reported by the issuer, in February of this year revenues reached $594,492 million, while a year ago the amount of this indicator was $457,643 million, which shows an increase of 29% between the two periods.

For its part, the expenditures registered by the Colombian central bank reached $1.45 trillion, which contrasts with what was recorded a year ago, when these were $514.74 billion, which shows that the growth of the second month of 2021 compared to the same month of 2022 of 182%.

For its part, the total comprehensive income of Banco de la República, according to the figures presented by the issuer in February, was negative $2.46 trillion, compared to an also negative amount of $671,103 million, which represents that the negative figure increased by 267.5%.

For this year, the estimates that are planned are positive in terms of results for the Banco de la República, especially considering that international interest rates, led by those of the Federal Reserve in the United States, will rise to combat inflation.
