The bench of Free Peru considered “predictable” the decision of 10 congressmen from the teachers’ bloc to separate from their ranks because behind this measure there is a “political project”.
In a statement, he wished the teachers’ group success as they embarked on a new stage, “always remembering that the most sublime value in politics is loyalty and gratitude as an indispensable value of persistence for a free country with social justice”.
“In that line of coordination and direct agreements, ‘the teachers’ group’ has made the decision to separate from the Bancada de Perú Libre, a fact that was foreseeable, since behind it, there is a political project that we hope will be of benefit to the strengthening of democracy and the position of a leftist bloc that we are sure will have coincidences such as promoting consensus for the good of the country, to claim the rights of those who have the least, always seeking the common good”he underlined.
He recalled that the official parliamentary group was made up of militants from Free Peru and guests, such as the teachers’ group led by the President of the Republic, peter castle.
He also referred that the decisions of the parliamentary group were made by consensus and that the teachers’ block always acted in direct coordination with Castle Lumps.
“They were allowed to vote differently, for example, in the investiture vote for the cabinet chaired by Mrs. Mirtha Vásquez, among others”he stated.
As you remember, the congresswoman Katy Ugarte confirmed that 10 legislators submitted their resignation to the bench of Free Peruall members of the so-called magisterial block.
She indicated that the other resignations from the official parliamentary group -in addition to her- are Álex Paredes, Pasión Dávila, Elizabeth Medina, Paúl Gutiérrez, Edgar Tello, Segundo Quiroz, Lucinda Vásquez, Francis Paredes and Germán Tacuri.
With the ten new casualties, Peru Libre went from having 32 to 22 members and ceased to be the first political force of the current Parliament 2021-2026 in favor of Fuerza Popular, which has 24 congressmen.
