The Ministry of Health made a new balance on the situation of Covid-19 in the country, where it reported 9,529 new cases, of which 5,144 correspond to symptomatic people and 1,512 did not present symptoms. In addition, 2,873 positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 3,820,009 and recovered patients reached 3,712,529. since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
On the other hand, the death of 19 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 58,095 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 12.84% nationwide.
As for the active cases, these reached 47,451 people and the PCR tests amounted to 76,449 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 39,375,938.
Meanwhile, there are 152 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 97 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 2,029 critical beds enabled and 284 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 15.91%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are Valparaíso, O’Higgins, Metropolitana, and Coquimbo.
