Balance Covid-19: Minsal reports 1,715 new cases and positivity of 8.73% nationwide

The Ministry of Health (Minsal) reported in a new Covid-19 report that there were 1,715 new cases in the last 24 hours, of which 121 correspond to asymptomatic and 1,594 to with symptoms. There are currently 4,698 active cases nationwide.

Of the new cases, 66% were diagnosed by antigen test, 25% originated by active case search (BAC) and 9% of those notified are asymptomatic.

The above was obtained from 12,523 tests, of which 8.73% were positive at the national level and 8.49% in the Metropolitan Region. This adds up to 48,242,061 exams since March 2020.

Regarding the exams, the regions with the highest positivity in the last week are Biobío, O’Higgins, Aysén and Antofagasta.

Regarding the health service, there are 1,775 critical beds enabled and 301 available. As for the sanitary residences, there are 133 beds in total and 64 available.

In addition, there were 24 deaths, which adds up to 63,965 since the start of the pandemic.
