Balance Covid-19: Minsal reported 2,711 new cases and 48 deaths in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health made a new balance on the situation of Covid-19 in the country, where it reported 2,711 new cases, of which 1,505 correspond to symptomatic people and 333 did not present symptoms. In addition, 873 positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.

In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 3,489,913 and the recovered patients reached 3,413,395. since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.

On the other hand, the death of 48 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 56,798 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 7.58% nationwide.

As for active cases, these reached 21,830 people and PCR tests amounted to 43,541 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 35,757,287.

Meanwhile, there are 518 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 391 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 2,275 critical beds enabled and 330 critical beds available.

Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 5.33%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, Biobío, La Araucanía and Ñuble.
