Basilio “Bachi” Núñez, national deputy for the ANR (Chartism), affirmed that the latest questions that Horacio Cartes has been receiving is because the former president will return power to the true Colorado party (ANR) in 2023. This alludes to the fact that the current Colorado government has several opponents controlling key institutions.
“Cartes is the target, because he is going to lead the true Colorado Party to power. The opposition is in charge of security and the anti-corruption secretary », he questioned.
Regarding the rumors that they would support the candidacy of Jazmín Narváez (official ANR) for president of the board of directors, he stated that they have another roadmap, and stressed that they are only focused on 2023.
“In the Chamber of Deputies, only majorities matter. We have 26 deputies. We are not only interested in directing the sessions », he concluded.
