the bench of Advance Country announced that they will insist on getting the 10-year disqualification from public service approved against congressman Freddy Díaz (not grouped), who was denounced in July last year for sexually abusing a worker in his office.
As denounced at the time, the woman affirmed that she drank alcoholic beverages with the then congressman of Alianza para el Progreso (APP) while they were talking about labor issues, and then she would have been a victim of rape.
In a statement published on its official Twitter account, the parliamentary group regretted not having reached the required vote to sanction Díaz Monago. Only 60 votes of the 66 necessary were registered to suspend him from his congressional functions. In addition, 2 voted against and another 21 legislators abstained.
Given this, Advance Country announced that it maintained that the nine congressmen that make up the bench will support the reconsideration of the vote presented by Sigrid Bazán Narro (Cambio Democrático – Together for Peru).
