As part of the reinforcement in combat and persecution of the microtrafficking of controlled substances, National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD) and members of the Public ministryseized 19 packages of presumably cocaine, in the middle of a monitoring and surveillance operation, carried out in the Santo Domingo Este municipality.
The authorities, after receiving reports of intelligencethat next to a fuel station in the Nuevo Renacer sector, they would be dedicating themselves to the sale and distribution of narcotic substances, they intercepted a man aboard a SUV, who, noticing the presence of the authorities, tried to escape.
Subsequently, the 50-year-old individual was arrested and transferred along with the vehicle to the Provincial Directorate of the DNCDfor security reasons.

Then, in the presence of a prosecutor, the Toyota Highlander SUV, blue, year 2018, was seized, occupying a cardboard box wrapped in adhesive tape in the back seat, inside which 19 packages of a substance were confiscated, which is presumed it’s cocaine.
The detainee, who will be identified in due time, was also seized with a Taurus pistol, millimeter caliber, with two magazines and several capsules, 12,800 Dominican pesos, 100 dollars, three exhibition plates, a cell phone, personal documents and other evidence.

He will be submitted in the next few hours for violation of Law 50-88, on drugs and controlled substances.
The 19 packages of the substance, with a preliminary weight of 21.20 kilograms, were sent under chain of custody to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for the corresponding purposes.
