In the last hours, the mayor of Warnes, Carlos Montaño, was involved in a scandal of leaked audios about alleged acts of bribery, corruption and even infidelity. From some sectors voices arose to request the revocation of the authority, because they consider his management unsatisfactory.
One of the first audios that circulated on social networks refers to the fact that the first mayoral authority would intend to allocate at least 200 thousand dollars to “buy councilors and leaders.”

“Yes, they are at least 150 thousand dollars, do you know what that is for? To buy councilors, to buy leaders. They are working to go to a recall and I have to buy consciences. What do you rule Warnes with? With your face? No sir, at least I am going to spend 200 thousand dollars, it is what Mario has spent when they wanted to put a recall on him, ”is heard in the audio attributed to Mayor Montaño.
In another audio, an alleged conversation is heard between the mayor’s wife and a person in charge of cleaning at the Mayor’s Office of Warnes, where the alleged improper use of state assets between Montaño and the president of the Council, Josefa Villegas, is revealed.
“They had gotten drunk and had slept together” says the cleaning woman and Montaño’s wife asks: “Did they wake up at the office?”, to which the woman replies: “Yes.”
Later, Montaño’s wife asks again: “They slept in the office and what date are we talking about?” and the woman replies: “Oh, I don’t know, May, June, July, August, it seems”, then the wife asks again, “but so far they do it or nothing?” and she hears herself in response: “since they said that she is pregnant, since that day no longer”.
Yesterday the wife of the Mayor of Warnes broke into the Council session and stated that both audios are true. In addition, she pointed out that her husband maintained a sentimental relationship with the president of the Council and thus eluded the inspections.
“Josefa Villegas I am speaking to you, all the audios that are in the press are true, I have the audios where your honorable ‘dial’ mayor confesses to messing with the president of the Council so that she signs all the works that she did not supervise during a management year. And what infuriates me the most is that she and he have used the institutions of the Mayor’s Office to do their dirty things, “she shouted.
The woman assured that both the audio of the alleged bribes and that of her conversation are “true” and demanded the dismissal of the president of the council, ratified in office for a second term recently.
