Atlánticos move within a half game of first place by defeating the Federales

Davis Romero had a great start by not allowing scores in five innings, while David Hollie and Luis Castillo hit a home run for Atlánticos from Bocas del Toro and Colón to achieve an important victory over Los Federales de Chiriquí 5 runs to 2 on matchday 16 of the Professional Baseball League of Panama (Probeis).
“I haven’t pitched much due to a calf injury, but this week I recovered and was able to pitch 5 innings, we did the job even though the team made a couple of mistakes but we had the energy to recover and do the necessary runs to win the game”, said Romero who won the victory where he struck out 4, gave 2 walks, and only got 2 hits, without allowing a run in 5 full innings.
David Hollie went 2-for-3 with a homer, a run and an RBI; Luis Castillo went 2-for-4 with a home run, a run scored and an RBI, and Enrique Valdéz went 0-for-3 with an RBI to be the best offensive team for the Atlánticos.
For the Federales, Erick Castillo went 2-4, with a homer, two RBIs and one scored; Rodrigo Orozco 3-1 with a double and a run scored.
The Atlantics (11-5) are only half a game behind the Federales (11-4) in the fight for the lead in the Liga Probeis.
