Brazil had a Friday (3) of achievements in athletics. The best result came with Vitória Rosa, who won a silver medal in the 100 meters at the Continental Tour in Bydgoszcz (Poland). The Brazilian completed the race in 11s32, behind only Michelle-Lee Ahye, from Trinidad and Tobago (11s17).
Also in the competition held on Polish soil, world indoor shot put champion Darlan Romani took home a bronze. To achieve the feat he reached the mark of 21.45 meters, just below the 21.80 meters of the New Zealander Tomas Walsh (gold) and the 21.76 meters of the North American Joe Kovacs (silver).

Brazil also secured a bronze with Mariana Marcelino, but in the hammer throw event at the Manchester Meeting (England). The Brazilian made 65.97 meters in the race, behind the Danish Katrine Koch Jacobsen, gold with 69.95 meters, and the British Jessica Mayho, silver with 66.28 meters.

gold in France
In a dispute held last Thursday, Gabriel Constantino from Rio de Janeiro secured gold in the 110 meters hurdles event at the Meeting Internacional de Montreuil (France). He completed the race in 13s42, ahead of the British Andrew Pozzi, second with 13s46, and another Brazilian, Rafael Henrique Pereira, bronze with 13s48.
