ASSE will build a polyclinic in Maldonado

Beneficiaries of the INAU will access work internships in the Presidency of the Republic

The health center will be located in the area known as Los Caracoles, a place where residents of the Kennedy neighborhood will be relocated. The work will be carried out on an area of ​​3,000 square meters, where gynecology and pediatric care will be provided. In addition, an emergency door will work to decongest the hospitals in the area, said the president of ASSE, Leonardo Cipriani.

This Friday the 17th, the president of the State Health Services Administration (ASSE), Leonardo Cipriani, Maldonado health authorities and the departmental mayor, Enrique Antía, held a meeting to analyze the construction of a polyclinic that will be located in the Los Caracoles area. Subsequently, they visited the property in question.

Cipriani explained that an emergency door will work in the health center and there will be pediatric, gynecological and maternal and child care, among other specialties. The initiative was studied by professionals and technicians from the Municipality of Maldonado and the ASSE Architecture Department and will be carried out with resources from both institutions.

In another order, he recalled that the emergency doors in La Capuera and in the Buenos Aires resort already work 24 hours a day, and that the installation of a base of the Emergency Medical Attention Service (SAME) 105 in San Carlos is planned. Likewise, he reported that in the San Carlos hospital, which currently has pavilions, hospitalization rooms will be built that will accommodate two people per room.
