In this regard, the union reiterates that Asobancaria is a union entity, private in nature and non-profit. “Because of the foregoing, Asobancaria does not request information or money from financial consumers under any circumstances, nor does it warn of possible inconveniences with the banking products or services provided by its member entities.”
Additionally, Asobancaria reminds public opinion that “it does not provide financial services and it also has no inspection functionscontrol and surveillance of its affiliated entities, which is the responsibility of the Financial Superintendence of Colombia”.

Asobancaria recommended that the public avoid downloading files from emailss suspicious and do not enter the links that they contain, nor enter the bank’s website through links that are attached in emails. He said that to enter the bank’s website you type in the address yourself.
The entity recalled that banks They will never send you emails or communications requesting users or access codes. “If you get these emails, don’t reply to them, delete them,” he said. He also recommended not to carry out banking transactions from public computers and to keep your personal computer with updated antivirus.
