The Cicpc arrested Pablo Efraín Maurera Carreño (30), accused of hiring three assassins to kill his father-in-law, Víctor José García Moya (67), founder of Confagan (National Confederation of Farmers and Ranchers of Venezuela).
The homicide occurred on May 3 at the victim’s farm located in the El Respiro sector, Maturín, Monagas.
It all started with the claim that García Moya made to his son-in-law regarding some vehicles that he had lent him. Later, Maurera hired Abdón González (41), (farm foreman), Junior Rosales (30) and Elías Segunda Rojas (54).
These last two, still on the run, murdered García Moya and burned his body for a whole day. Then they collected the bones that remained and threw them into a lagoon, the Cicpc narrated.
