The Hospital Complex “Dr. Arnulfo Arias Madrid” (CHDr.AAM) of the Social Security Fund (CSS), will become a Geriatric Medical Center, which will have other specialties, according to the director of the entity Enrique Lau Cortés, who assured that 2030 – 2050 , the population of older adults exceeds that of young people, under 25 years of age».
When the City of Health is put at the service of the population, this process will begin, explained Lau, who explained that it is contemplated to have an Advanced Diagnostic Center in the Hospital Complex, which will prevent patients from having to be hospitalized to carry out some type of highly complex study.
“This will allow the creation of a network of services that will be structured from less to greater complexity, which will be a contribution to provide faster care to patients and reduce waiting lists for studies,” concluded Lau Cortés.
