Through Resolution 0277 of February 17, 2022, published this Tuesday, April 12, it is established that once the woman goes to perform her prenatal control, if the treating doctor recognizes that the pregnancy represents a condition that puts at risk the life of the pregnant woman or the fetus should immediately inform the patient and record these incidents in her clinical history.
According to the guide, the clinical history must include personal medical history, history of gynecological risk, vaccination history and whether the pregnancy was wanted or not.
The guide establishes that all the documents must be ready in a timely manner so that the response of the commission and the performance of the procedure do not exceed 22 weeks of gestation.
In addition, the woman must write a note addressed to the National Commission for Therapeutic Abortion to request the interruption of the pregnancy, attaching a copy of the personal identification and telephone number where she can be contacted.
After the Commission has the documents, an immediate meeting will be scheduled and within 72 business hours it must respond.
