Virada Sustentável, a cultural and artistic festival that promotes awareness of sustainability in the country, has open registration for its tenth edition. Interested parties can apply until June 10 at the event websitewhich will be held between the 3rd and 20th of November in the city of São Paulo, in a hybrid way.
Artistic projects that address topics such as conscious water consumption, renewable energy, biodiversity, climate change, urban mobility, citizenship, social inclusion, combating racism and reducing social or gender inequality can be submitted. The festival warns that projects of a partisan or religious nature or that encourage any type of discrimination will not be accepted.
The festival seeks to present people with a positive view of sustainability, being aligned with the Agenda 2030 and at 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (UN).
“We are planning a turning point that invites the population to be the key to the change we want and need for a healthier, egalitarian and sustainable world for all”, said André Palhano, creator of the festival.
Virada is a movement to mobilize sustainability, which organizes the largest festival on the subject in Brazil. It started in 2011, in São Paulo, and has already held editions in the cities of Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Salvador and Manaus.
