The Congressman from Cusco of Alliance for Progress (APP) Alejandro Soto Reyes, Like his colleague María Agüero (Free Peru), he complained about the salary he receives as a parliamentarian. The legislator compared his income with that of a Minister of State, who receives 30,000 soles and is not elected by popular vote.
“I am also on the side of the people, I also feel the impact of the bread, the sugar, the rice because I will be a congressman of the Republic, but I don’t earn a million, we barely earn, just -listen carefully- 10,200 soles because the gross salary is 15,600 soles”indicated the congressman in the program Ronda Politica where he serves as co-host.

Likewise, the parliamentarian called on the population to question and complain against the actions that the ministers do or do not do because they receive a higher salary than theirs and are not elected in a popular election.
“A minister earns 30,000 soles without being elected by the people, so there is a right to demand that the minister work for the benefit of the people,” highlighted in the same radial space.
