The National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) authorized today (28) the manufacture, in Brazil, of a new medical product based on cannabis, Cannabidiol Ease Labs 100 mg/ml. The drug will be manufactured by Ease Labs Laboratório Farmacêutico in the form of an oral solution.
In addition to cannabidiol (CBD) in the measure of 100 mg/mL, the drug must not contain more than 0.2% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), following the agency’s rules. The product will be sold in pharmacies and drugstores, with a medical prescription, using a special type B blue prescription.
In total, Anvisa has already approved 23 cannabis medicines in the country, nine of which are based on Cannabis sativa extracts and 14 on cannabidiol. The consultation of the products can be done at agency portal??
