Announced opening of 60 flights to San Andrés for Easter

This Friday, the Minister of Transport, Guillermo reyesin the company of Vice President of Avianca, Frederico Pedreiraannounced the measures taken by the National Government and the airlines after the closure of operations of Ultra Air.

Reyes mentioned announced the opening of new flights by Avianca that will cover the journey between the cities of Bogota, Medellin and Cali to and from the archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina.

Adding up the passengers affected by the VIva and Ultra Air crisis, Avianca has transported more than 95,000 passengers free of charge on a total of 60 flights, according to Reyes.

Finally, the minister assured that, for Easter, Avianca also offers additional capacity on its regular flights for Mondays and Wednesdays, with two round-trip flights, thus totaling a total of 82 flights to and from the archipelago, with more than 15 thousand seats available, until April 10.

Other airlines, for their part, have also participated in dealing with the air crisis. In the case of Latamthe airline has offered a flight San Andres – Bogotawith a total of 176 passengers, plus additional fees for passengers with reserved Ultra tickets at 99,000 pesos plus taxes and fees, as explained by the minister.

Wingofor its part, offered availability on charter flights, approximately 2,722 passengers and a series of flights in the rest of the year on the routes covered by Ultra.
