The President of the Council of Ministers, Hannibal Torresindicated, this Friday, April 22, that there is a plan to carry out a coup d’état that involves high-ranking military members in order to remove the president peter castle of Government Palace. The head of the PCM gave these statements in the Decentralized Council of Ministers that takes place in the region of Cusco, hours after ex-combatants from Chavín de Huántarwithdrew from the recognition ceremony presided over by the head of state and requested his resignation from office.
“A sector is looking for the vacancy of the president, but I have to warn you that the plan does not end there, senior members of the military are going to pronounce in the same sense (vacancy) to stage a coup”, said Aníbal Torres, who added that “the ombudsman has already ruled on who should be the next president (Keiko Fujimori)”. This, he mentioned in relation to a false publication that circulated on social networks.
The head of the Council of Ministers invoked the political forces to achieve a consensus in order to maintain governance of the president Peter Castle. Along these lines, he mentioned that both the congressmen and the President of the Republic were elected for five years, a period that should not be interrupted by political crises due to the needs of the population.

“I am going to invoke the political forces, including local, provincial, national authorities so that we agree and maintain democracy and the stability of the Government. The congressmen have been elected for five years and must remain that period, the same happens with the president, who was elected for five years and must also remain in office. It is possible to achieve political stability to attend to the needs of the population”, explained Torres.
Aníbal Torres criticizes Congress
At another time, the prime minister criticized that a sector of Congress spends state resources promoting the vacancy of Pedro Castillo.
“The goal should not be vacancy 24 hours a day, spending public money that comes out of the pockets of all Peruvians to vacate the president, we have to calm down. The people react with justice (protests) because they are seeking a permanent coup d’état, therefore, the people have the right to defend themselves. The other side has to stop persisting in the vacancy”, sentenced Aníbal Torres.
