In an interview with Page seven, former President Jeanine Añez maintained that she never had full control of her government. He stated that probably some of his former ministers negotiated with former president Evo Morales and his leadership.

“I never had total control of the government, since it was formed within hours after the resignation of Evo Morales (…). It hurts me to say it, but many of my former ministers and collaborators probably negotiated with Evo and the Masista elite, “said the former head of state.

The direct negotiations between sectors of the Movement Toward Socialism (MAS) and those in charge of pacification is another of the revelations that Añez made. He also indicated that to end the conflicts they had to give in to requests from mass organizations, because they had two-thirds in the Legislative Assembly.

“To reach these agreements we had to give up many things requested by the social movements and before the Assembly, Eva Copa likewise (…). Several of the negotiators, in order to pacify the country with some sectors of the MAS, did not coordinate directly with me. They were hard times and of great tension, many politicians, people, ministers, authorities in many cases acted independently ”, he pointed out.

Añez added that his former party, Democrats, took advantage of his lack of experience to govern the country. In addition, they sought agreements and gave in to govern.

“Many in my party took advantage of my inexperience to govern this beautiful country. They took advantage of my good faith and to think that everything was solved by talking and giving in. But that is simply a wound, “he explained.

Añez is processed by the ordinary route for cases coup I and II. She is accused of the alleged commission of the crimes of sedition, conspiracy, resolutions contrary to the Constitution and the laws, and breach of duties.
