The National Federation of Secondary School Teachers (Fenapes) published on its social networks a campaign that criticizes an ANEP initiative that encouraged those who participate in the PISA tests to “wear the light blue”.
In this case, the Fenapes message, which uses the same graphic design as ANEP, states: “ANEP STEPS on you”.
“The best way to motivate the student body is to guarantee resources, respect their freedom of expression and include them in the changes. When this does not happen, there is a harangue as if an international test were a soccer match,” says the student union.
According to Fenapes, it is part of “the transformation of terror” promoted by the government.
And they add: “They buy t-shirts from the gurises when they cut US$ 151 million from their education and ask them to wear the blue one, but they don’t lend the ball.”
This year, the government will allocate US$94,000 to purchase shirts for the Uruguayan national team. The figure has drawn attention when compared to the expense that was made in the management prior to the purchase of headphones for US$ 60,000, for the same reason.
