As is known, Judge Checkley ordered 18 months of preventive detention for Andrés Hurtado, a well-known television presenter, after finding sufficient elements that point to his alleged involvement in the crimes of influence peddling and active bribery.
In this regard, Hurtado’s lawyer, Elio Riera, assured that they will appeal the preventive detention measure against the television host.
According to Shimabukuro, the television presenter’s rapprochement with the president would have begun after the former head of the Cabinet of Advisors of the Ministry of Housing, Salatiel Marrufo, introduced him to Fray Vásquez, Pedro Castillo’s nephew.
Subsequently, the former comedian reached the former head of the National Intelligence Directorate (DINI), José Fernández Latorre, who would have arranged a monthly payment of 50 thousand soles for the former television presenter.
