Continuing with the frontal fight against the theft of electrical energy, the National Electricity Administration (ANDE) carried out an intervention yesterday in a property in Mariano Roque Alonso.
It is a building where a cryptoactive mining would be operating and that obtained electricity supply without proper authorization, using clandestine connections.
In this specific case, the irregularity found was the triphasic derivation before the meter with 16 mm2 conductors, according to the technical report.
The corrective measures were carried out with the removal of the derived cables, normalizing the connection of the supply. During the procedure, a new and de-energized Medium Voltage line not authorized by ANDE was found, in addition to 3 transformers with a total power of 3 MVA that, it is presumed, would be used to expand the equipment park for cryptoactive mining.
The procedure concluded with the application of a fine of Gs. 134,020,742, in accordance with the procedures of the state company.
