AN received complaints about real estate scams

The Administration and Services Commission of the National Assembly (AN) will investigate a series of complaints filed before that instance regarding alleged scams in the real estate sector.

The information was released by the president of the aforementioned commission, Willian Gil, after meeting this Wednesday with representatives of the Ministry of People’s Power for Habitat and Housing (MINHVI).

The parliamentarian specified that the decision was made to set up a special commission in which the MINHVI Legal Consultancy will also participate and the incorporation of the Public Ministry (MP) will be requested to address the complaints presented.

“In recent weeks we have received several cases of real estate scams in the country.

We have a law, there is a State that is going to fight against this type of scourge, and the deputies of the National Assembly put ourselves at the forefront of this fight. Scams are a form of corruption, ”he sentenced.

He reported that this Wednesday they received some affected people from the San Vicente Garden complex in the city of Barquisimeto, a complex that has not been built, and which is added to an approximate number of 5,000 affected families in the capital of Lara who placed their trust in three large housing complexes for more than a decade.

This Wednesday the Energy and Petroleum Commission announced that it will join the campaign against corruption promoted by President Nicolás Maduro and endorsed by the National Assembly.

The president of the instance, Ángel Rodríguez, said that “it is important to take control action in all the necessary instances to eradicate situations of corruption that arise.”
