The Minister of Government, Eduardo del Castillo, presented the apprehended aunt this Wednesday morning, accusing her of being the author of the infanticide. “NWe are here to publicize a case that has moved the department of La Paz, where unfortunately by cheap mobiles the life of a seven-year-old minor has been taken; infanticide that occurred in the Yungas area in the Auquisamaña community, Coripata municipality, in La Paz,” she reported.

The event had occurred on Monday, April 10, at 3:00 p.m.; however, the Police become aware of the fact at 7:20 p.m., after the mother of the little girl sat down the complaint for the disappearance of her daughter and that the alleged kidnappers had asked her for a payment of Bs 70,000 to release her.

The mother had received messages from the kidnapper, where she asked for the money in exchange for returning the girl alive, but having no answers, the little girl was murdered.

“The aunt steals the girl from her home at 3:00 p.m. This lady had closeness with the minor and showing her videos manages to steal her and takes her to the place where unfortunately he takes her life. (…) hOh an element that shows us that there was a planning process a week in advance,” Del Castillo said.

Research indicates that mobile phone that the aunt used to send the messages to ask for the reward, had been enabled a week before, “The woman bought the chip days in advance and had planned robbery, kidnapping or even death of the minor”, he remarked.

After the kidnapping of the girl, at 16.45 on Monday, that is, after one hour and 45 minutes, the girl’s family receives the message. After hours pass and there are no answers, at 7:00 p.m. the aunt takes the life of her niece.

“20 minutes after the girl was murdered, the Police just received the complaint from the relatives; and one hour and 10 minutes After receiving the complaint, the Police proceed with the arrest of the author of the tragic crime, With this we want to state that if the complaints are carried out promptly and opportunely, we would probably be presenting today a woman for crimes of kidnapping or child abduction and we would not be presenting an infanticide,” said the minister.

Two cell phones were found in the possession of Elizabeth MC, the one she had enabled a week ago to carry out her plan and the one she used daily, in addition, the little girl’s slippers, the object with which she murdered her niece and other elements that were handed over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office to be presented as evidence before the courts.

No.or we can allow these people to seek impunity, therefore, we ask the judicial authorities to do their job, the Police have already complied; we want to have a sentence in the shortest timepo possible so that these people do not recover their freedom and have the maximum penalty,” said Minister Del Castillo.

He recommended to the population that in the face of these cases, the population cooperate by allowing the police to carry out the investigations, since many times, inflamed by the events, the community members seek to do “justice in their own hands”, and lead to the loss of some elements of evidence to prove the guilt of the perpetrators of the crimes.

“The investigation is still preliminary and knowing that we have all the elements to prove the guilt of this person and that the material author of this infanticide is not yetWe are not aware that other people would have participated, but surely the investigations will be carried out through the Public Prosecutor’s Office,” he said.

He recommended watching over and protecting children and vulnerable people more, since the acts are perpetrated mostly by people of trust and close environment.

“We have to know who is at home, who is visiting our homes and the degree of trust we give you these people. We need to communicate within our homes, lThe criminals are not on the streets, unfortunately they are in our homes, neighborhoods and in our close circle,” he observed.

He explained that he 60% of the crimes that are committed in our country is due to the close environment and familiar; andl 49% are crimes of domestic violence, rape of a child, adolescent girl, women or vulnerable groups.
