The National Assembly (AN) together with the National Institute of Nutrition (INN) are working on the elaboration of a law that, through training strategies such as “Grab Data Eat 4S”allows to create awareness and teach the Venezuelan population to eat tasty, safe, healthy and sovereign.
To this end, it is considered promoting programs such as Agarra Dato and eat 4S implemented by the INN to achieve a balanced nutrition of the Venezuelan people.
The information was released by the president of the Subcommittee on Food and Nutrition, of the Permanent Commission for Comprehensive Social Development of the AN, deputy for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) Gabriela Chacón, who explained that they are working on a nutrition law.
According to a note from the ANthe parliamentarian said: “It will be a reflection of awareness, where proposals can be made on how food should be and know how nutritional recipes can be prepared in each Venezuelan home to strengthen health.”
Adding contributions in favor of nutrition
In order to strengthen the legal instrument, Deputy Chacón explained that through various activities they are collecting contributions to enrich the Food and Nutrition Bill, which will enable awareness programs to be activated and reach Venezuelan schools and homes.
For Chacón, it is important to take care of one’s health, which is why work is being done together with the Ministry for Food and the National Institute of Nutrition (INN) to prepare and strengthen the standard.

For his part, the deputy for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela Juan Simón Primera highlighted the INN programs, such as “Agarra Dato” and “Come 4S”, to favor the Nutritional Protection Bill and the new promotion of food culture.
First, he stated that it seeks to “obtain acculturation and knowledge of new nutritional and food alternatives to generate forms of production and distribution, which would give a greater contribution to the country.”
For this, Primera said, the commission is working with food organizations to achieve the implementation and construction of the legal instrument, from the point of view of healthy nutrition, in order to favor the national economy through exports.

Parliamentarian Juan Simón Primera emphasized that we must talk about the nutritional quality of food, in order to protect the vulnerable population such as children, adolescents, pregnant women, adults, with healthy alternatives and with specifications for diets based on items of national production.

The INN representative, Dennis Molina, said that they are developing educational, training and information strategies, such as campaigns “Grab Data Eat 4S”with the purpose of joining efforts to achieve better food and nutrition in the Venezuelan people.
He explained that it is intended to “create awareness in choosing foods that nourish and give physical, mental and physical well-being to all Venezuelans.”
In this sense, it is expected to create new consumption patterns and rescue the ancestral and traditional diet of the population to create consumption patterns based on national production; as well as teach and give the tools so that they know how to choose what they want to consume.
