AMLO declares Q4 infrastructure projects national security

The decision is intended, according to the agreement published in the evening version of the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) , the fast track issuance, in a maximum of five business days, of permits and licenses for the works.

With the “national security” classification, the information related to contracts, companies participating in bids, permits, opinions, can be reserved indefinitely, since the agreement does not establish the temporality for the classification.

The agreement instructs the agencies and entities of the Federal Public Administration “to grant provisional authorization to the presentation and / or obtaining of the opinions, permits or licenses necessary to start the projects or works referred to in the previous article, and with this will guarantee its timely execution, the expected social benefit and the exercise of the authorized budgets ”.

These provisional authorizations will be issued “within a maximum period of five business days from the presentation of the corresponding request.”
