The also general director of the insurer “El Águila” will be in office until 2023 and replaces Sofía Belmar Berumen, who directed AMIS since May 2020.
Berumen became the first woman to lead this Association and the union had made a commitment in August 2020 to add more women to the AMIS Board of Directors.
AMIS recognized Berumen’s work at the forefront for ensuring that major medical insurance, which in some cases excluded pandemics, covered 11.3 million insured against Covid-19.
“In addition, more than 187,000 families received 56.405 million pesos in compensation for medical expenses and life insurance,” AMIS detailed.
The new president of AMIS has a career of more than 40 years in the insurance sector, as an insurance intermediary as a Partner and Director of Marsh Brockman and Schuh.
Juan Patricio Riveroll Sánchez has a degree in Economics from the Universidad Iberoamericana, of which he is currently a member of its university Senate.
