Ámbar Cornejo case in “Mea Culpa”: TVN backs down and decides not to broadcast a miniseries

TVN reported in a statement that it will not broadcast the miniseries dedicated to the case Amber Dogwood that was going to be part of the new season of the program “Mea Culpa”. Cornejo was a teenager murdered in 2020 by her stepfather Hugo Bustamantea crime in which his mother was also involved, Denise Llanos.

“In accordance with the application of its programmatic guidelines and in compliance with previous agreements at the Board level, regarding the role of public television, TVN has made the decision not to broadcast the miniseries ‘Ámbar, en la mira del psicópata’, which It would be part of the new season of the Mea Culpa program, ”said the channel.

They also pointed out that “the second season of Mea culpa is in the production process to be released in its original format soon”.

Let us remember that before the announcement of TVN about the miniseries, Ámbar’s father, Ulysses Cornejo, filed an appeal for protection before the Court of Appeals of Valparaíso. The court of appeals decided this Wednesday to prohibit the signal from advertising the season of the program.
