The Secretary of the Presidency of the Republic, Álvaro Delgado, suffered a serious traffic accident this Friday afternoon, on route 24 that goes to Río Negro. He was traveling as a passenger in a vehicle driven by his official driver.
Both Delgado and the driver were transferred to a sanatorium of the mutual Corporación Médica de Paysandú (COMEPA) in Paysandú. According to what he said on the radio sarandi the medical director of the center, Verónica Laurino, both arrived in a good state of mind and “lucid”.
According to the professional, Álvaro Delgado suffered head trauma without loss of consciousness, as well as trauma to his fist, but no signs of a fracture were found.
