The International Labor Organization (ILO) reported last December that 22.8 percent of workers around the world have suffered workplace violence and harassment of some kind, and in the case of women, more than 8 percent say they have suffered sexual harassment. .

Harassment and discrimination in the workplace, he assures, psychologically affects employees and has a negative impact on their performance, in all kinds of sectors: private companies, government agencies and civil organizations.

To prevent, address and eradicate this phenomenon in the social sector, groups designed a model protocol for prevention and action in cases of discrimination, harassment and sexual and labor harassment in civil society organizations, he pointed out to the day Friné Salguero, director of the Simone Beauvoir Leadership Institute.

The model protocol has a double objective: we seek to change the work culture in the civil society sector so that it is free of harassment, discrimination, harassment; On the other hand, we want to start creating a culture and a learning community so that the groups that start to adopt the protocol can discuss the challenges we face as civil society. in that matter.

He explained that the document is based on the good practices of other protocols, in ILO Convention 190 and in aspects of human and feminist rights.

He explained that it has aspects innovators such as restorative justice and transformative justice, which seek not only to base themselves on criminal justice for conflict resolution, but also to leave a learning experience, both in the person who commits the aggression and the person who lives it, as well as reflection within the organizations on the practices that normalize this violencein order to change that situation.
