Regional and municipal elections

The National Elections Jury reported that, of the 228 political organizations registered or in process of registration throughout the country, 170 called for internal elections in order to define their candidates for this year’s elections.
Seventy groups will carry out the internal process through the direct modality with members (free vote), while the others will execute it through the indirect modality (free vote and delegates).
The political organizations requested their registration with the JNE until January 5 to participate in these upcoming elections.
