Alexander Markov mixes classical music and symphonic rock in a special concert with his golden violin

For years he has been breaking schemes in music. Russian-American musician Alexander Markov, violinist and composer, will play for the second time for the public from Santa Cruz.

On this occasion, as on the first, he will do so together with the Santa Cruz de la Sierra Youth Symphony Orchestra, which It carries out its second season of the year with the performance of the outstanding violinist, who premieres his work “César” in the capital of Santa Cruz. The show will take place this Saturday the 6th and Sunday the 7th of May at 8:00 p.m. at the Raúl Otero Reiche House of Culture.

The symphonic choral concert will be made up of a list of classical pieces and the violinist’s new composition. G. Bizet Prelude to Carmen Suite N°1, Paganini and La Campanella, Schubert with Ave Maria and Saint Saenz and the Introduction et Rondo Capriccioso, are part of the first part of the repertoire. In the second part, drama is set aside to make way for its composition. “Cease”, a musical composition that mixes classical music and symphonic rockusing his signature “golden” electric violin, organ, choir, percussion, rhythm section, and orchestra musicians.

Boris Vásquez, director of the Santa Cruz de la Sierra Youth Symphony Orchestra, explained that the concert will be a great choral symphonic display. The show takes place within the framework of the celebration of the 20 years of life of the Symphony Orchestra. In this presentation he participates with the interpretation of the polyphonic choir of the Evangelical University and the Domus Artis choir. “There will be more than 100 artists on stage and an extraordinary proposal,” said Vásquez.

Markov arrives for the second time in Bolivia thanks to the sponsorship of the Embassy of the United States. The violin virtuoso was the winner of the most important world competitions for his instrument. He is also the owner of an extraordinary golden electronic violin, which brings surprises to the public.
