The candidate of the Somos Callao movement alex kurisentenced for collusion, defended the management of the former political organization Chim Pum Callao —founded by him—, which was for seven years in the Regional Government of the coastal constitutional province.
In this regard, the former governor of Callao minimized the fact that Juan Sotomayor and Félix Moreno, who are being prosecuted for corruption crimes, were part of Chim Pum Callao, referring to the fact that they represented 1% of the entire regional organization. On the contrary, he highlighted the electoral success of his movement.
“Juan Sotomayor and Félix Moreno, who, being prosecuted for specific issues, represent 1% of Chim Pum Callao. (This) is the most successful movement in Peru’s recent history at the regional level. There is no regional movement that has won seven consecutive times with three different candidates”, he said in an interview with Epicentro TV.
